The self-sacrifice enacted by Jesus, embodying both divine and human aspects, two millennia ago – shouldering our sins upon the crucifix at Calvary, accessible to those who repent (renounce all that they recognise as wrong – their sin) and place their faith in Jesus Christ, the man whom even the fiercest atheists concede was unparalleled in his nature and whose life and death has sent ripples throughout history – into the very age we live in now. This restored relationship, initiated through faith in Jesus Christ, bestows upon us eternal life and a hope that surpasses the transitory nature of our earthly existence.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes and trusts in him should not die but have eternal life.” John 3:16

In light of this reality, Christian parents are called to raise their children in the knowledge of God and His teachings, instilling in them values that reflect the character of Christ. This includes love, kindness, humility, forgiveness, and self-sacrifice. By doing so, parents not only provide their children with a solid moral and ethical foundation but also give them the opportunity to discover and pursue their God-given purpose and, more important than anything else, secure their eternal future.

By teaching the next generation the importance of stewardship, parents can help them understand that material wealth is not an end in itself but a tool to serve others and honor God.
